Continuing to plant
Every time we step into the greenhouse it seems like we have another crop that is ready to be planted out in the field. This past weekend we planted seven beds of parsley, broccoli, cabbage, fennel and lettuce. These crops are looking really good and were ready to go in a new field that we had just gotten ready.
We are getting near to the time when we will start planting summer crops. Tomatoes are only a couple weeks away and we are soon going to be finishing the field preparations for the area where they are going to go along with peppers and eggplants. Other summer crops like basil are shooting up and looking very nice in the greenhouse.
We also have lots of onions and leeks coming along that we will be starting to plant in the beginning of April.
Not only do we have lots to plant but we are now spending more time weeding the crops. Soon we will be putting up a trellis for our sugar snap peas as they are growing rapidly with the warm days.
Pictured below is our first planting of peas along with a few other crops and they are enjoying the warm weather.
